About Marinka from Individuart

One drizzly morning, while getting ready for the day, Marinka randomly turned on an episode of a popular Dutch TV series. What happened next shook her to the core. In some of the scenes, one of her early paintings, titled “Freedom”, was clearly visible on screen. To this very day she has no idea how the painting ended up being part of the set.

It turned out to be an important occurrence because Marinka had not painted for a long time. She was immersed in the empirical study of dreams, symbolism, and synchronicity. This very meaningful coincidence was a literal and symbolic reminder of the freedom she always felt when painting.

She picked up her brush and palette knife again and started creating art for the soul. Since then, many doors have opened. Her first collection of paintings was presented at a pop-up gallery for one and a half years. Her paintings are now being featured in popular restaurants and various other places in the Netherlands, and are also featured in a printed poetry collection. Many of her paintings, just like the Freedom painting, are “traveling” to various places around the world.

Marinka creates art from the soul, for the soul, and invites you to be part of the dreamy world of imagination and meaning.

“A blank canvas holds infinite possibilities, just like life does. We are all the artist of our own life, while being both the observer and creator of our unique masterpiece.”
